STORIES IN THE WILD
24.7-29.7. 2016 Jondal in Hardanger, Norway
 Course holders:
Hugh Lupton UK: The Dreaming of Place
A workshop that will explore the landscape with spoken language - invocation and evocation. The aim will be to look at how the land might re-sacralised through journeying into the layers of narrative that it carries. The Aboriginal belief system will be used to investigate the notion of 'Song-lines' and 'Dreaming'. Some of the great poets of the wild will also be explored… and used to stimulate our own response to wild nature and its places. Info: www.hughlupton.com
Laura Simms USA: STORY AS NATURAL REPAIR
The basics of the workshop is three fold:  using a traditional tale a s a template to explore the way that engagement opens access within listeners the innate territory of unconditional presence that grows the capacity for interdependence; the way in which images work to reconnect our body, imagination with the natural world as participant (rather than observer); and to deepen our understanding of the tools and practices of a storyteller dedicated to overt and subliminal appreciation (empathy and kindness) of our natural world; within and without.  Angela Halvorsen Bogo UK/NO: A REVOLUTION OF BELONGING

When people feel a deep connection to each other and to nature there is an entirely different way of relating. The way we go about storytelling can catalyse a 'revolution of belonging' when we develop the capacites needed to be such community animating revolutionaries. This workshop looks deeply at the mechanisms, attitudes and skills the storyteller works with such as profound presence, an advanced responsiveness moment to moment to the audience and to fine tuning and working with our surroundings. Working outside involves an acceptance of changing weather, light, temperature and sound. How to adapt the voice and body to be heard, to allow the surroundings to become the best possible backdrop, to highlight for the audience what is already unfolding. The skill in choosing which things to take in and when, which things to draw attention to and when and which things to leave alone. The storyteller can then draw the audience into a deeper connection with nature, landscape because he or she is themselves actively participating in deepening relationship, of connecting with and belonging to the earth and its elements. The workshop uses voice work, song, storytelling technique and movement improvisation. Info: www.thefoolstory.com

Roi Gal-Or IL/UK og Karmit EvenZur ES:  Earth Speakers - Earth Keepers

Geomancy is an art and a science that teaches us to read the subtle layers of the land. Through the 'geomantic lenses' we can experience an inter-relationship and inter-communication within all living systems. We can meet our planet Earth as a conscious entity full of life and stories. When we pay attention to these stories, we open ourselves to a communication that incorporates our intuitive knowing with our rational mind. We begin to make sense of what our instincts, our senses and our heart is telling us. We find ourselves in the same territory and consciousness we find in Wonder Tales, where the invisible

becomes tangible, where the inner becomes the visible landscape outside us and where the nature of nature comes to life in a form that resonates with and speaks directly to our soul. In this course, by developing our capacity to listen to the story of a place, we will experience different types of elemental consciousness and work with archetypal and creative forces of nature. Through energy work and storytelling exercises we will explore our capacity to bring balance and harmony within a landscape. As we discover our role and connection to the Earth we will practise lending our voices to the land. Speaking, sounding and giving birth to the new stories and myths of these unfolding times – times of connective, creative and collaborative relationship with the Earth and all her beings.
